Garrison Academy For Cambridge Studies

HISTORY

Garrison Academy for Cambridge Studies had its beginning in Garrison Academy for Boys when O’ level by the Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) was offered as a choice other than the local Secondary School Certificate (SSC) to the students in1991. Based on the highly impressive O’ level results at GAB, there was an overwhelming response from the parents to provide the same opportunity to the girls as well. Therefore, O’ level studies were initiated in Garrison Academy for Girls in 1999. Ever since then, there has been no looking back. Our students’ outcomes have been consistently remarkable both at local, regional and even national level.

The A-level program was introduced in GAB in 2005 with a view to build on the success of our O’ level program and of course to offer more subjects to the students to explore their potentials. Due to the increase in admissions each year both in O and A levels, it was decided by the Patron LGES in 2012 that a dedicated co-ed campus for Cambridge Studies be opened and thus; Garrison Academy for Cambridge Studies (GACS) was formed as a separate entity which started functioning from 18 February, 2013.
